Tchoup had a big tick right behind his ear. We tried suffocating it with chemicals and it didn't work. Then Josh managed to get it off with tweezers and kill it. It was bloody and gross - poor Tchoup. He was demoralized by the process and grumpy.
Named for a street in New Orleans, which in turn was named for an American Indian tribe but sounds so Greek people often declare it was named for a Greek merchant, Tchoupitoulas is a Rwandan cat living with Americans in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. His adventures mostly orbit around killing small things of little or no harm, destroying things that Athena and Josh care for, and trying to eat Josh. He also likes to knock things that are up high down to the ground and eat fishes. Occasionally, a massive black cat who lives nearby comes into the compound and hands Tchoup his ass. Athena and Josh don't understand why the Rwandans, on average, don't care for cats.
